This Year's Juice

This year we worked with a family in our ward to make apple juice. We made a total of 30 gallons of juice.  We did all the pressing and processing in our back yard instead of over at my parents house. Doing it at home made it a ton easier because we had easy access to water and shade. I think the hardest part for me was to listen to our neighbors little girl. None of our boys stand around and talk your ear off like this girl does so i'm not used to it. Don't get me wrong she is a nice little girl. I have always been taught to not talk when you are working. This girl never stops and any answer is followed by a why or how come. I was almost ready to tie our dog up next to me to keep her away (she is terribly afraid of dogs even tiny ones like ours).

My little Aprentices

It is funny, One place I can't go without the boys knowing about it is in my shop.  I am not even joking. They could be downstairs playing and if I sneak into my shop the next thing I know they come knocking on my door. I am sure Anna is the snitch but she won't admit it.  The older boys have started building airplanes (two rough boards nailed together).  Miles an Sam especially enjoy cutting wood with my old saws (they are barely sharp enough to cut the softest of woods so I think they are fairly safe).  Jacob likes to hammer the pegs that I have put in a small board and he likes to run the drill.  It seems that every time I purchase another stool so I can have one we have another kid.  I am NEVER going to buy another stool.  

Camping Fun

Here is Jacob helping Uncle Jordan with his car.  Jacob is an expert at taking your wrenches right when you need them.

Ours and Jason's family went camping at Malad Summit (also known as Power House) The kids got really dirty as you can see in the photos but they had a really good time.  My boys were very grateful to have cousins to play with.
